Welcome to the Skokie Art Guild, We're Proud of Our Heritage!

Member Dinner 2009  The Skokie Art Guild is a not-for-profit organization which was formed in 1961. It is composed of approximately one hundred artists, art lovers and patrons of the arts. From its inception, the purpose of the Guild has been to promote the advancement and appreciation of the fine arts throughout Skokie and surrounding communities. This has been done through education in the form of demonstrations or lectures. Meetings are held at the Skokie Public Library on the fourth Tuesday of March, April, May, June and September at 7:00 PM.

The Guild promotes art awareness and appreciation. The Guild holds two annual members' art shows: a spring show at Skokie's Emily Oaks Nature Center and a fall show at the Skokie Public Library. Awards are presented and both are well publicized in the local newspapers.

The Village Green, downtown Skokie, at 5211 Oakton, is the site of this beautiful annual event. Skokie is proud to claim this event as one of the most established, high-quality art fairs held on the North Shore. It attracts artists from many parts of the country. Artists represent categories such as 2-dimensional paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, glass and jewelry. In addition, there is live music and face-painting.
