Barbara is an award-winning, Chicago-area artist. Her awards include Best of the Show, 1st and 2nd Place awards, Honorable Mentions, Purchase Awards, Awards of Excellence, Merit Awards, and the coveted Albert Handell Scholarship Award. She is also a Signature Member of the Midwest Pastel Society. Her most recent award was a 1st place in the Skokie Art Guild’s Spring Exhibit, 2009. Barbara is also a member of the Illinois Artisan Program.

Barbara works primarily with pastels on sanded paper. Her styles range from realism to most recently, abstract.

Barbara also is an accomplished jewelry maker. One can see her work at the Illinois Artisan Shop at the State of Illinois Building in Chicago. For the past fifteen years she has been the Skokie Art Guild’s art fair chairperson. Barbara is fascinated with art and its unlimited possibilities.
